United Women in Faith

United Methodist Women (UMW) shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

UMW especially focuses on issues related to women, children and youth. For information on the National UMW, please visit their website.

All women of First United Methodist Church are welcome and encouraged to attend any of the UMW meetings.

General Meeting

  • First Thursday of January, March, May, and November
    10:00 am, room 112
    Light brunch followed by devotions, program, and business meeting.

    6:00 pm, the Commons
    Potluck Meal

Afternoon Circle

  • February, April, October, and December
  • Time and date are variable depending on the off-site mission project
