Who, Where & When for Wednesday:
- 6pm: Listening Lab – an intergenerational space for all ages. We’ll engage with a children’s book related to our monthly topic, playing with the text, images, themes & feelings it inspires.
- 6:30pm-7:30pm: Exploring the Assembly – We’ll engage all our senses & foment curiosity about ourselves, our world & our Divine interconnectedness.
- 7:30pm: Pickup Time!
- September’s Monthly Theme: Identity – by wondering over Sacred stories, biographies of important figures & our own stories, we’ll explore who we are as interconnected beings created in love, with love, and for love.
Curricula:
Ms. Liz has written curricula designed to encourage wonder (contemplation) and peacemaking (action). It works well with our Sunday Path to Peace curricula, an ecumenical, wonder-based progressive curricula that accompanies The Peace Table bible. She’s happy to offer sample lessons for families to play with together at home!
For more on WONDER-Families, including monthly themes & choir performance dates, check out our brochure.
What to Expect Each Wednesday:
Please meet Ms. Liz at the 2nd floor stairs by Door 4 between 5:45pm and 6pm. If you haven’t yet, you’ll fill out our new WONDER-Families contact form for each child, updated to be more expansive, consider the child’s identity, and cover Safe Gatherings, Media, and Transportation releases.
Thank you for your dedication to discovery and theological development. As always, please reach out with ideas, concerns, resource needs, queries, and quandaries. Cultivating children has never been done in our context (each moment is a new moment!), and my role is to support you in all the ways children both learn and humble us!
