An Evening with Sr. Lucy Kurien
Sr. Lucy Kurien is a living example of what can happen when compassion becomes action. As the founder of Maher, Sr. Lucy has created an organization that provides safe homes, restores dignity, helps heal trauma, and offers hope to thousands of women, children, and men.
Throughout her work, Sr. Lucy has met with leaders including the Presidents of the United States and India, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and Pope Francis on two occasions. Her life and ministry offer a powerful witness to the difference one person can make when compassion is put into action.
We invite you to spend an evening with Sr. Lucy at First United Methodist Church Omaha as she shares the story of Maher, the difference its work is making in the world today, and her vision for the future.
This donor, volunteer, and friends evening of gratitude will be held from 5:30–7:00 p.m. in the Parlor at FUMC Omaha. Please enter through Door 11.
