Stephen Ministries
Stephen Ministries and Health Ministries combine their efforts to encourage all who are faced with difficulties in their lives. As you enter the church you can find literature racks with helpful materials designed for a variety of human situations. These racks are located in special places.
There is a rack on the wall just outside the Youth Room. There, one can see “Care Notes” written to be helpful to young persons who face the perplexing situations unique to the teen years.
The second rack is located in the hall near Mead Chapel. This is a place where persons go to meditate and seek spiritual help for the things that weigh on their hearts.
The third rack is located in the coat room near the front entrance to the Sanctuary.
These “Care Note” displays are maintained by Stephen Ministry volunteers who have a unique sense of the needs being expressed by people we serve. These “Care Notes” contain messages designed to help persons think through their lives as they face a variety of situations:
Grief Surgery Loss Cancer
Divorce Family Key Beliefs
You are invited to stop to take any of these “Care Notes” and spend time in Mead Chapel or the Sanctuary. Check with one of our ministers to share your concern. We also have lay Stephen Ministers who would be glad to visit with you to give you support and encouragement. They can be easily spotted on Sunday mornings for they will be wearing blue name tags that say Stephen Minister or Stephen Leader.
“Care Notes” are yours without cost. Feel free to take any of them for yourself or for someone else.
