Health Ministries

"Health Ministry is a living witness to the healing sprit of God which emphasizes the integration of body mind and spirit.  It encourages whole-person health through increased self-knowledge, personal responsibility and interdependence among God's people."--Eastern Nebraska/Western Iowa Health Ministries

Welcome to to our website!

One of the ways we embody Christ's healing is assisting with Healing Services.  This ministry is close to Ruthie Lees' heart and she serves as Coordinator.

HELP (Health Equipment Loan Program) is one of the most used missions we undertake with the coordination of Roger Burns.  This is a free loan program and anyone can utilize the equipment.  If you, a loved one or friend have a need for the HELP program, please call the church office at 556-6262.

We currently facilitate an exercise class to encourage spiritual, physical and mental growth.  Two yoga classes are offered:  Mondays at 9:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. in Mead Chapel.  These classes are open to everyone.  A freewill offering is accepted and childcare is offered.

We are one of the FUMC groups that take a turn annually to provide and serve a meal at the NAP Wellness Center.

Upcoming plans include:

** "The Bethlehem Journey Walking Program"-- sponsored by Activate Omaha -- this program's purpose is to improve our health and daily physical activity by walking the 6,457 miles it would take if we walked to Bethlehem.  We join with other local churches and hope to reach the goal by Christmas.  If walking is not your thing, check the spiritual equivalency form out in the Gathering Place on Sunday morning.  There is more than one way to earn a "mile"!  We started on October 1, but it's not too late to join us!
