Ruth Kruse will share a review of the book, Dark Money, by Jane Mayer, on Thursday, October 19, at 10:00 am in the Parlor. The author, a reporter for The New Yorker, shows how a network of exceedingly wealthy people with extreme libertarian views bankrolled a systematic, step-by-step plan to fundamentally alter the American political system. They pooled their vast resources to fund an interlocking array of organizations that could work in tandem to influence and ultimately control academic institutions, think tanks, courts, statehouses, Congress, and the presidency. Please bring a friend and plan to join us for coffee, treats, and the review in the Parlor.
